Scientists have confirmed a brief and extremely rare mobile signal was detected on a cliff edge in Pembrokeshire.

The signal, lasting approximately 11 seconds, allowed one individual to:

 • Send a WhatsApp message

 • Half-load Instagram

 • Nearly check the weather

The exact location has been described as: “Two steps left of a rock, near a sheep.”

It has since been lost.
